Football simulations combine two things I absolutely love: Football and RPGs. There are currently three books in the Football Town Manager series, which covers the origins story (A Town’s Tale) and then follows your local career as you take your burgeoning team into the local league, and then into the FA Cup.
World Cup Manager also uses 2d6, like Football Town Manager, but it uses team tactics and moves to attempt to score. This series has the potential to grow by representing different World Cup scenarios, including previous tournaments.
